We have been on the phone with the application provider most of the day to understand what happen and more importantly who messed with the inventory system last evening so I could pay them a personal visit. Their conclusion is that their side of the house posted numerious backorders after the fact...opening up the inventory system allowing others to enter orders. After my conversation with them they are not likely to walk upright for some time.
Additionally, I want to make sure that you all know that we utilize a completely different vendor that specializes in credit card processing. We use "Authorize.Net" to process your credit card orders. This means that the application provider cannot see your information nor can Patti and I. No one at ScrapYard has access to this information. We deliberatley structured our site this way to protect you and your information.
We are keeping a close eye on the inventory event to insure the situation does not take place again.
