Forgive one for being ignorant, I know basically nothing about the transformers, but if you could change from a whip-[censored] robot to a car, why would you want to?

not too sure i'll watch, sounds childish, will probably see it when my kids rent it.
Too many sequels right now, maybe this is the best about Transformers, you don't see the same movie again in a lamer version (Spiderman3 anyone) albeit I actually liked POC3, after everybody saying it was awful I actually found it quite funny and better than expected.

Simply put, it was amazing. i was worried it would be lame but it is quite possibly the greatest movie i've ever seen. i'm weak and exhausted from all the pounding my heart did.
go see it, they deserve your money. there's something for everyone. awesome cars, hot women, good jokes, politics, good soldiers, and of course crazy high paced action. i'm seein it again as soon as i can. Its so good to hear that you liked the movie. I have plans to take the family this weekend to see it. Thanks for letting me know Dan

NO prob Arkie, while in car form you can go places incognito and unreconized then when you get to your destanation BAM you are a 70 foot robot ready to whip the backsides of your foes. Transformers: More than Meets the Eye.

I thought of that, but then I saw the dude that changes into a jet. That's not very incognito. Just from the previews, I think I'd want to be the jet guy.

Then again, if you're the jet guy, you're all the time having to deal with people questioning your authority to be in their air space and such. And unless you're a harrier, you have to bother with landing strips. I saw in the preview where he just morphs into a robot straight out of the air, but that REALLY blows your cover. Is there a Harley transformer? A Segway? I guess a Honda Civic would seriously be flying undercover, but you would probably catch alot of flak from the other robots.
I guess I just need to go see the movie.

The places you could go with this technology. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> The other drawback on the jet would be fueling. It's not like you could just pull into the Velero, grab it, gas it, and go. You'd probably have to have your own JP-5 depot and set up some sort of logistical detail to have fuel brought to you. Being a jet would be cool, but I imagine you'd have to have a competent support team.

I loved the movie. It is definetly not a kids movie but made for adult humor, not bad humor but not eight year old humor either. I thought it was great.
