I'm very tempted man I have to tell ya !!!
But then I think it's $150 and a Baby Coot etc from the yard would do all the shaker could at about the same weight, comfier handle and a cost of maybe $50 or less !!!!

You tell it true mate, but the shaker will spank them on corrosion resistance! I'm just off to fondle my SS4, sweet INFI and res-C.. drool!

I love my SS4 and think for a EDC infi is much better than Sr77 as good edge retention is more important and toughness less so than on the bigger knives.Ever since I got the SS4 I wanted exactly the new Busse with a skeleton handle
and smaller blade for even better carry options. I am looking forward to my Blade YK which should show up any day as well.

I thoght we knew that the next knife was the Yard keeper CG with 3/16th thick steel? That will make a heck of an EDC for those to whom INFI is just to expensive.

If we are making suggestions for the next big knife I want a Wakazashi with a 15 to 20 inch blade and skeleton handle and a real tanto point not an americanized one. For Canada it would be the best weapon yo can legally carry especially handy if it fits in a backpack. For a sword infi is kind of a waste as the extra edge retention is not important at all. Sr77 from Scrapyard would revolutionize the sword industry.

Yeah for corrosion resistance INFI wins hands down but for under $50 would it matter if it developed a bit of a patina ? The only place SYKW blades will rust is on the grind and this comes off with use or sharpening anyway.I also looked at the Ferhman Thruhiker but that's quite a big blade and I'd guess quite a weight as well for a necker !!!

Unsub, I kind of like your waki idea as you could cord wrap the tang..
Pitman I read on a forum somewhere (one of Andy's links) that blood, being salty water, attacks carbon steel quite vigorously so dulls carbon steel over stainless very quickly in kitchen (=edc) use. Having said that Cliff Stamp reported D2 was prone to pitting when used in corrosive environments. Hmm, perhaps a ceramic stick and bit of oily rag would keep a Dan edc shiny and sharp? But then there is always the new skinny Shaker..

I'm in for a smaller Mini as well. The Big choppers are nice, but they make a bulge in my pocket that is hard to explain to folks I meet in Wally world!!
