I've had my eye on one of those.....how do you like it? Does it chop well?

I also have a VTAC, which is possibly the coolest thing I own. I rotate thru EDC knives, I rotate thru what blades I bring when I go out trekking or camping, but.... I always bring the VTAC. It rocks.

Did you buy a second scout model or the longer model belt axe?

Thanks Messer for the link! Those are sweet hawks. How long are the handles, they do not state specs?

Here are some pics of mine.

I measured and the handles were 19 1/2". I cut down the shorter one.

I have a theory about some of the Ranger hawks. I remember at one time I saw one that had H&B stamped real small on the head. Now I am not claiming to know anything but it appears to me that they have much the same style and I am not so sure that some of the other hawks out there are not made by H&B.

Wow, H&B looked like they had some nice stuff. They had a nice looking long-spike hawk as wellas one that resembled the Fort Turner Roger's Rangers hawk -- but for less $.
