[quote It immediately took up residence in the most important place in my house . . . my emergency backpack. If I have to leave home in a hurry and I only have time to pick up one knife, my CT is going with me. It's a PROVEN life saver. [/quote]
My Scrapper 6 rest in my BOB.

My S6 is first grab blade- no-brainer!! (the SS4 is second, my Tram' machete is third..)
Jerry the S7 would be interesting to compare to the venerable CT!

Jerry the S7 would be interesting to compare to the venerable CT! Agreed, the blade shapes are similar enough. My hope is that the Scrapper 7 would be a somewhat better chopper. Jerry

The extra steel in the res-C would make for a tougher knife- not easy being tougher than a CT (from what Cliff said!!!). The extra spine weight of the S7 would help chopping but doesn't sr101 take and hold a better edge? I figure all things being equal they'd be a good match performance wise..

Jerry the S7 would be interesting to compare to the venerable CT! All you need now is the Jeep!!! No Jeep for me. Next on my automobile list is either a Nissan Titan, or the Toyota Tundra. And then a fishin boat.

S7 will take more of a beating than sr101 but gives it up where edge retention is concerned. At least that's what I've been led to believe. Jerry

yeah.. you know what, Now i remember reading your review.. prolly on Swamp forum. You mean this one? Yep. it's really hard for me to put into words.. just.. feeling in my hand, and during use. It has a very solid, indestructible feel to it. The only way I can raise capital to buy a DF is if I sell something I already own, and my HR would all but cover the purchase price of the DF. Yeah, I saw the one Hank just bought on BF for $175. I bet you could get more for it than you paid. Got a Jeep I could 'borrow'? Ya can’t “borrow” ours either. :P
