What are your favorite movies showing survival scenes/situations? My absolute favorite is coming out today - Collectors Edition of "Red Dawn".

Bar none the best survival movie has to be Animal House. I would not have made it through college without it.

You gotta love RED DAWN; I dont care who you are:
"We're running out of food."
"We've still got plenty of meat."
"Just stuff you shot!"

Classic dialog.

I have to say I liked Dawn of the Dead for the humor factor. (hey, it was a survival situation of a sort)

A great serious movie is The Snow Walker. While it is not a region I expect to deal with, it had some great lessons to teach about the importance of knowledge, learning, and keeping a clear head.

I like " The Edge " Seems like a classic survival in the woods movie. They even have to kill a bear.

Red Dawn is one of my fav movies i have to get the collectors set when i get paid.

What was that movie.....where a plane crashed in the mountains and the people had to eat the dead bodies?
