I am sure it would only go up in value. Get one it would be a good investment, and you will probably double your money by the time Bear retires.

How about a Scrapyard woodlore knife? The Yard Keeper is pretty close but I think a CG version with the thinner blade would be more useful.
Rainwalker is working on a pretty cool sheath for mine and I will put that combo up against the bear knife anytime. So long as it is not me out there in the bush eating bugs.

I think the only reason Bear's Bayley knife is similar to the Falkniven is that is probabaly what he carried in the SAS. Had he been a US Marine, we'd be seeing a nuclear Ka-Bar style combat knife from Busse instead.

i was watching dirty jobs, mike rowe was using an ontario machete with the orange d-handle and named it "Death Rowe." he wrote it write across the blade. i think that's a way cooler discovery channel celebrity signature blade. he was chopping up salmon carcass with it.

I hope it reduces the price! I still enjoy the show and would have been surprised if Bear did not have quite a bit of help from time to time. At least we know he isn't stupid. If I have the choice of sleeping on the ground or in a bed, I'll take the bed.

Good point HD I would make the same choice myself I didn't mean anything against the man himself but rather the marketing machine behind him.

It is show business. The only thing more deceptive is political campaigns. Bear earns his pay, though! I think the Survivorman series is a little more realistic. I'm a sucker for all outdoor shows. I was a big fan of Wild Kingdom.
This year, Survivor Man gets dropped off in New Orleans with nothing but a bottle of water, a shopping cart, and a nickel-plated Raven .25 Automatic. Stay tuned.
