I've seen a lot of threads about people's favorite knives/folders/fixed blades. But I'd like to approach the question from a different perspective. If you were FORCED to give up every knife you own except one, which one would you hang onto and why? Keep in mind that, while you might be tempted to impress us with the acts of bravado you'd employ to keep from having to part with ANY of your knives, this is a "what if" scenario. And in this scenario, you don't get a choice. Also, this is about the VERY LAST knife you'd be willing to part with . . . not the last folder and the last fixed blade. If you pick a fixed blade as your VERY LAST knife, you lose the folder, and vice-versa.

So I'll begin.

The VERY LAST knife I'd be willing to part with is my Swamp Rat Camp Tramp for the following reasons:

1) It's big enough to chop.
2) It's small enough to slice.
3) It's constructed of incredibly tough steel that holds an edge and resharpens easily.
4) It is a FIELD-PROVEN survival knife.

OK. Who's next?

I hate question like this..

However, if I absolutely had to, I would only keep my modules Blade-Ball (r)(tm)(patent pending). Please don't mistake it for a hasty duct tape job involving all my knives... And gloves are recommended for handling it!

I challenge you to produce a picture of an uglier knife than this one. Yes, it is surgical stainless. This is THE ugly of uglies.
