Some of 'em over there are beautiful - there's a 5-6 inch something w/ black/white G10 that looks great, and another 5 or so inch orange/black G10 TAC handle something that looks awesome too.

Not too hot on the modified GW looking guys though.

Bruce, I'll give you $250 for your SJ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I like my Badger Attack tac but will it ever replace my humble S6 in my affections?? I think not. (My basic 7 rocks my world though!) Can you nick (sorry dumpster dive) any M-INFI Dan? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Yeah man I hear what you're saying. I looked at that pricing this morning and went PFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTT.

Which means: "[censored]. I've got this OT cheque here, and some of those look really hot, but sheeesh... That's a lotta cabbage for some sharpened steel."

So. I dunno. I had a long list of which ones I wanted in which order, but I'm thinking now I may just give it a miss altogether.

Infi is nice. However, I have a hard time justifying it. Mostly what I see in the Busse line up are great big choppers whcih really aren't my cup of tea.

I do regret not picking up a Badger Attack. However, there isn't much else in the Busse line up that truly appeals to me. Sure the occassional blade pops up here and there that really makes me drool. However, that's just it, the occassional blade here and there.

Swamp Rat and Scrapyard seem to offer more traditional and functional blade styles. That's what I prefer since my knife use is geared more towards tradition and function. I'm sure Busse will offer something that appeals to me in the future. The real question is what appeals to me more the knife or the money in my wallet.

Peace
Jerry

yeah there is a big difference in price between the Custom shop variants and regular production knives. . . but that is nothing new.

[color:"orange"]Wow, the Dogs just don't get it!! What are you saving $700 - $800 for, CANDY? It's Halloween and I need a spooky Halloween, caramel apple cutting blade! Come on now guys, you know that that Punkin' GW is just cute as a little speckled pup! I prefer the Punkin carvin' Halloween Meaner myself and for under $400 it's a punkin patch steal!! The best thing that could happen to me is that I go to sleep before Mountain time costs me a bunch of money but ...I WANT IT, I REALLY WANT IT!!![/color]

I don't know why I go to the Busse forums.

I know I can't justify INFI prices, but my G!

Two 7" bladed knives that seemed moderately appealing to me - $727.00 !!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

I could just about have an AK for that price! And I think the AK is too much!

I understand supply and demand. But, I don't understand why people pay that much.

I hope Scrap Yard and Swamp Rat prices stay somewhat sane. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

.

I was sorely tempted to buy one of those $727 customs, the one with black handle if you're referrring to the one I held. It was beautifully crafted, had fantastic balance, and a handle that felt like a dream. It was perfect in every way.

If I bought it I would have turned it into a user....it was that good.

What things are worth is solely in the hands/eyes/brain of the buyer. Those are heirloom purchases that your kids will enjoy.

"Normal" Busse Combat prices were as high as I could go. I went back to John Greco knives after my last Busse Combat purchase of two Red/Black Meaners. All things being equal, a Meaner or an AD is somewhat "better" than a Greco EDC. However, in the package deals that I was getting, EDCs cost me about $40 vs $247/$187 for my MrS/ADs, and those EDCs are quite nice, sturdy carbon steel knives (.200" thick 8670 steel blades) -- heck, they even come with a leather sheath. I don't regret buying my Busse Combat knives, but I don't anticipate buying more, and the Custom Shop blades have always just been too rich for my blood.

Some might disagree, but in Dumpster Mutt/RatManDu size or less, I'd rather have the thinner blade of a Swamp Rat knife. However, at Scrapper 6 or larger size, I'd prefer a Scrap Yard. I expect that I'll continue to look at Busse Combat knives, but I've got multiple FFFBMs, ADs, and Meaners, which were the models that most appealed to me, so from now on I'll limit purchases to Dogs and Rats unless something REALLY special comes up.

I would probably invade a small country to get Stansbrew's pumpkin SH, but I have more time than money. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Sorry that jack-o-lantern knife is to be shipped out of state shortly (sold on BF today) I cant afford to let that thing sit on a shelf forever,
PS.... it went at a fair markup!

Stan - it was a beauty - I was looking at it a little bit ago (after it sold).
