I have noticed a bunch of new faces, so I thought maybe we should reintroduce ourselves, for the benefit of both old and new forumites.
My name is Joseph. When not haunting this forum, I am the manager of a Christian Bookstore.
I collect knives, both factory and custom, with my emphasis on Scrapyard, Buck, Randall, and anything designed by Colonel Applegate.
I read way too much, concentrating on Sci-fi, fantasy, and military history.
I watch a lot of TV, with my favorite shows being Battlestar, Dr.Who, Scrubs, Supernatural, and Psych.
My all-time favorite show was and is Firefly. The wife and I just love it, as well as the follow-up, Serenity.
I drive a Jeep Cherokee, and own a restored 1989 Mustang 5.0, a true man's car.

Now, as your father probably told you, my name is Matt Foley, and I am a Motivational Speaker! Now, let's get started by me giving you a little bit of a scenario of what my life is all about! First off, I am 35 years old.. I am divorced.. and I live in a van down by the river! Now, you kids are probably saying to yourself, "Now, I'm gonna go out, and I'm gonna get the world by the tail, and wrap it around and put it in my pocket!!" Well, I'm here to tell you that you're probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you're not gonna amount to Jack Squat!!" I'm Dan. I collect and use Scrapyard, Busse, Ranger, and RAT (Randalls Adventure Training) knives - and am looking to add Swamp Rat and Becker to the mix. I've got a wife, Ilyana, and 2 sons, Cain and Jordan. I'm 25. I used to be in the Active Army (3 year in Korea), but am in the MT National Guard now. I'm a student at the University of Montana, Criminology major, 8 months left! I'll be working on a Masters in Homeland Security next year through AMU. I've worked as a reserve LEO at a couple of different places, and intend to work in Law Enforcement or Law when I'm done w/ school (thinking about law school). I read a lot of "true crime" books, with an interest in serial killers and behavioral sciences - I also read a lot of political thrillers - Vince Flynn and Brad Thor are great - check them out if you get a chance. As for TV, I'm a big fan of "The Shield" and "House," and occasionally get sucked in to watching Top Chef w/ my wife - good show. I play guitar in a punk/metal band called "Come Up Swinging." My main guitar is an Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Custom in Alpine White, played through a Laney 50w (Tube!) 1/2 stack. I drive a '96 Ford Explorer w/ a V8 - its in great shape for its age! And, I spend a LOT of time in The Yard!

My name is James, 24, I am from the Seattle area but currently at school in SE ID working to become a Mechanical Engineer, my current employment is at a cabnet shop, I like knives guns and the outdoors I am facinated about everything that is cool. been married just about year and a half and have wounderful little girl. Name is Bill, mechanical designer by trade gun/knive collector by hobby as well as beer drinker, sports watcher, softball coach and father of 4 kids, 3 girls and a boy. Born on the east coast, lived out in Cali most of my life, weather is great, woman are very nice, mortgage costs suck.

My name is Jason, I was active Army for 4 years, been to 6 countries, fought in 1 true battle and many skirmishes, loved 1 woman (my wife April), have 1 daughter and one child on the way. Going back to school...should be done next semester....still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. Was a cop for 1 year prior to leaving for the military. Collect/abuse all Busse Combat Group blades and a few customs. I have a soft spot for military weapons......as long as they are not 5.56.
I enjoy Rome, Battle Star Gallactica, Dexter, Firefly, Heroes....and a few others , Cigars and cheap beer Ghurkas..the Cigar and knife, Crawfish boils. I seem also to collect stitches as of late.......in the last year I have raked up 28..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> The last 6 being about 48 hours ago.

My name is Terry and I'm 31 years old, I currently work as a warehouse manager for a window and door retailer. For about 8 years I drove truck over the road but I got tired of not having any home time so I took the job I'm at now.

I love any and all things outdoors. I live about 30 minutes south/east of Mammoth Cave National Park and that's where I spend a lot of weekends hiking the back country trails and camping. I used to drive the Cherokee you see as my avatar but due to an unfortunate accident she's gone now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. I currently drive a Dodge truck.

I collect knives of course mostly fixed blade but I do have a few folders. My favorite manufacturers would be the Busse family, Ranger, BK&T, Buck and Kershaw.

Hello all, This is my first post and I do so with reservations.But here goes.
My name is Gordan, I am a musician by trade. I collect mainly Busse knives and customs from many different makers.I hunt,and fish when I can.I love to cook for my wife and a very small circle of friends.Friends only when invited! We value our privacy.But are not reclusive.
I was reading about this site for about a year now and never had time to sit down and fill out the forms to post.
I'll be 70 years young this November and love every mornings sunrise better than the last.I tried to purchase a couple of knives but saw they were no longer available.I hope to buy some new from Scrap Yard as I do not like pre owned knives.

Despite several attempts, I was unable to enter the military. However, I did once stow away on a WWII submarine, the Silversides, and attempted same on a destroyer escort, the Daniel Joy, when I was about 12 years old.

I started college at 32 and finished at 44 years old. Today, I am a Certified Financial Planner with a small practice of great, loyal clients.
