Wow, I can't believe I missed this one...So...

I am....

Spending too much money...Buying too many knives, watches, guns....

Spending too much of my life sleeping and working...

Spending too little of my life partying, traveling and having fun...

Stressing too much over stupid things and not-so-stupid things...

Spending too much of my time trying to be healthy and make smart decisions to prolong my life...

Spending too much time away from family and loved ones...

Spending too little time enjoying the outdoors, the water, the women, and all of the other fine things there are to enjoy in one's life.

All in all - not bad though. I have a good job and am fairly fortunate so I can't complain. I have a bachelors and a masters degree in Computer Science and have worked in the field for over 15 years.

Like knives, guns, animals, outdoors, mountain biking - yes, in FL(I own 2), music (listening and playing), home theater, watches, photography, football, and much much more.

Peace!

Been on here lots the last week or so, so I thought I should properly introduce myself. Here goes,
My name is Steve, I`m 31 and live in Prince George B.C., Canada. Not the nicest city but surrounded by some of the most beautiful terrain for my favorite hobbies including camping, hiking, fishing and spending time with my family.
I have had a beautiful and supportive gf for the past 8 yrs and she has a 8yr old daughter from a previous relationship. I love and raise her as my own. I also have a son who is 6 months older also from a previous relationship. He just turned 9 yesterday. Happy birthday my little man!!
I love collecting knives which I am getting back into after a long hiatus. I sold of what I had years ago to buy my dirt bike. Now I want to get rid of the bike so I can have my knives. I tend to buy steel that I will use (and can abuse) but I think I would make a exception for an Ak/Waki or even BETTER, a SYKCo variant!
Thanks for listening and,
long live the yard!!!!

I guess its my turn.....

My name is Gary, and I'm a 35 year old architect. I'm married to my soul-mate, and we live north of Evansville Indiana. We plan on moving further out of town in a year or two.

Being an architect is a fairly consuming career (5 years of college; 5 years of supervised professional development; 9 national examinations; state registration; 18 hours of continuing ed every year to maintain my license), but since I only develop commercial projects I have a lot of flexibility in my scheduling...which is good...because I love the outdoors.

All of my hobbies revolve around the same "general interest" and include: camping; hiking; shooting; gun collecting (a misnomer because I USE my guns); survivalism / preparation; knife collecting (not a misnomer because I don't have the heart to hurt my babies); politics; and evaluating survival gear.

NOTE: md02 if you're reading this - I will use that UM. Tom - I don't have the heart to use my YKLE...its my favorite knife!

JYD #123 The great one formerly known as Architect.

I am now a fictional British television police officer (currently a Detective Sgt) at Thames Valley Station. My governor is Detective Inspector Fred Thursday and it’s 1969.

I'm Jim, and I'm a knife hoarder who lives about 30 minutes away from Knob Creek (and about 40 from the Golden Manor motel).

I was in the Navy for too long to be happy, but not long enough to retire; most of the worst periods of my life occurred during that time, but they helped shape me into the emotionally isolated (some have gone so far as to say bitter), curmudgeonly, authority questioning man I am today. Eventually, a few years after my discharge from the Navy and being told, "Your job's not to think, it's to do what you're told", I enrolled at IU and graduated with a BS in Information Systems and a Business Admin minor. I now work as an programmer/analyst and my job IS to think (and to do what I'm told, but that's just the price of working for someone else).
