The DF will be well worth having but won't do a SS4 disappearing act! As it's sr77 not INFI it'll be around for a little while IMHO. Plus Dan can always do a second run- same as the S6's...

I think this is a special Release.....and with so much SR-77 going into it, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have a second batch.

Rant On: Wheather there are enough to go around may depend on how many Dogs buy 10-20 knives apiece (like the SS4 or the GW's). I have now counted over 125 GW's for sale at inflated prices on the BF exchange and a number of SS4's. Any time knives flip that fast the buyer never intended to keep the knives, only profit from them. All this does is raised the price to those who cannot sit on the internet all day long. Nothing wrong with buying 2-3 knives (users/back ups). Anytime someone buys 10+ knives, he is dealing, IMHO. I want one, but at the original price. That is why I do not have an SS4 or Orange GW. I do have a S6 LE and like it very much. I am hopeing to buy more SY knives and I am hopeing this does not turn into another BCS. Rant Off. Bring on the DF!

I could not have said it better, Ron. Of course, a manufacturer wants to sell as much as he can as quickly as he can. But I have always advocated that rationing should be established when supplies are limited and demand is through the roof. Believe me, if my last name was Busse, it would be!

A couple of questions:

(1) Will we be given some warning as to the anticipated release date and time of the Dog Father so that we can prepare our trigger fingers (and in some cases, our finances)? Or will the DF just suddenly appear on the web page?

(2) Will stock levels of the DF be sufficient so that it will survive the first purchasing assault and remain available for sale for awhile? Or will the release of the DF turn into another SS4 frenzy?

Will LEs be release at the same time as CG?

I am working at a feverish pace to insure that I have plenty of knives to feed the Dogs. The wait will be worth it and you will be pleased.

As far as the frenzy on the SS4, I didn’t guess it then and I'm not sure how to guess at it on this release. I do think this go around we will not have to deal with the INFI Hogs, just Ravenous Dogs.

Great forum and great Dog Father knife. I'm very impressed. I was trying to find a good bowie for a long time.

I go often in the forests and mountains and I need a good chopper that it won't break for nothing and can stay sharp in most, if not any, conditions.

I first saw Busse knives. They seems to be very good but so expensive. I won't be happy if I lost it in the lake or in crevice or ending up in the belly of a moose...
