I have my fingers crossed that it will be as near to this as possible... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> ![[Linked Image from i129.photobucket.com]](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p236/denaleeguy/Howler2.jpg) By the way how has any of you found SR77 is at edge keeping compared to say 1095 ? I have battoned and chopped with my DM but have not really done any cutting so I know SR77 is tough but do not yet know how it keeps an edge ? On paper it is pretty poor but I realise that different heat treatments make a big difference !!!

On paper it is pretty poor but I realise that different heat treatments make a big difference !!! Looks like a howler to me. I got one from Bruce. Great little knife. I have found SR77 to be comparable to 1095 in edge holding. Of course, not all 1095 is the same. The AF Survival knife is made softer for greater toughness and easier sharpening at around 54 RC. All my SY knives show much better edge retention than the AF knife. They are about 57 or 58 RC in hardness, I think.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
