They do get grungy looking VERY quickly, but clean easily....so it is all about maintance.

Worth knowing GF! I remember reading (official) blurb to the effect that dirt just fell off res-C due to it's totally non-absorbent qualities! Just as well it scrubs up easy..

My satin battlerat handle still looks like it is brand new. however, gravel is correct here, it is all about maintenance. i tend to take very good care of my stuff, regardless of what it is. My 1989 Mustang, for example, which I bought new, still looks new.

Can anybody comment on how the Tan handles on CTs & BRs hold up to discoloration? It would seem to me their light color would get grungy-looking real fast.

ie i have a light-colored shift knob that takes on the pigment of my leather gloves!
i guess it's not very anti-hygroscopic? (i forget the word)

As you’ve probably seen from my pics, my BR has seen plenty of use, and the handle looks fine. It will get dirt on it, but it’s easy to clean. I use the same thing to clean the handle that I do to clean the blade. I got one of those plastic handled rectangle $1 sink scrubbers from the cleaning section at Walmart. Not the larger rougher textured one, the smaller finer texture one. Then I use hot water and dish soap. Here’s another tip. I bought one of the small travel shampoo bottles from the pharmacy department to fill with dishsoap to keep with my knife cleaning/maintance stuff.

And the word you’re thinking of is “hydroscopic”. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

That's why I like my black res-C, zero maintainance to keep it pretty!

I like the black too. But, how about gray or green?

it's funny.. i see folks agonizing over what color combos to get on their new Badger Attack TACs over on Bladeforums..

in a way.. i'm kinda glad ScrapYard & Swamp doesn't give too many choices.. cuz it makes The choice all the more easier!
