I love America!
It is the national version of having a survivalist hunter type next door who has tons of cool guns ,knives ,toys etc but they can be noisy and rude etc but your sure glad they are there in an emergency.

I think it more likely they found a big box of traps in some corner of the shop.

I get excited if I find a $5 bill in the corner of my workshop... Imagine finding a crate of rat traps!

Dom, sweet score!

I still can't believe that Swamp Rat has been hoarding Rat Traps!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

I have wanted one for longer than a SS-4!! They NEVER come up on the secondary market anymore. Great Haul Dom !

Glad you had so much fun!! Steel and gun powder...mmmmmm <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Peace.

I might pass on a Ratweiler, since I have a box full of choppers, but if a Rat Trap came up on the store, I'd have to get one. That would get more daily use than all my other Busse-made knives combined. The only reason I carry Spydercos, Bucks, Cold Steels, and Kershaws is I don't have a Rat Trap!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Great Score and Great Pics, Dom!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

The Chopweiler/Ratweiler, HRLM, and the Skelly Rat are my three favorite Rats right now. Your lucky that I scored a HRLM recently or I might have bought that one... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I think if it had been a standard black model it would have already been gone before I got there

I'd never been to Knob Creek before, but even though I live in Indiana, it's only about 30 miles away. I've never been to the Kentucky Derby or Oaks at Churchill Downs, or the Indianapolis 500, so it seems strange when I hear about folks traveling cross-country (or even Internationally) to attend a local event.

After having gone to Knob Creek this weekend, I'll probably start going to the show regularly -- many booths cater to a full-auto niche of shooters, so there were fewer booths of interest to me than at the Indy 1500 show. However, Knob Creek is one of the best opportunities to buy SY/SR knives and the round trip is about 3 hours (and a most of a tank of gas) closer than Indianapolis; the entry fee is less than the shipping on one order and parking is free -- that's a pretty good deal.
