As a self employed guy I punch no clocks and control my calendar. Since I abhore driving among the crazies during rush hour, I usually schedule appointments with clients for late mornings or afternoons. Well, one day last week I got in my car, with my piping hot coffee in a thermal mug, get my radar dectector up and running, get some jazz playing on the CD player and I'm ready to roll. Traffic has thinned out and all is right with the world. It was about 10AM as I entered the expressway and settled into the left most lane, where I would be for several miles. Having settled in, I decided it was time to begin enjoying my coffee and jazz. I am approaching a slight rise in the road, I put my coffee to my lips and begin to tip the cup. Just then, I come over the rise and am greeted with a very loud screeching sound. I am so startled, I spill the coffee on my face and scald my lips. I figure out the screeching is caused a LEO who has hit me with his laser. I tap the breaks, to make sure I'm okay, and the radar detector falls off the window, hits the dash board and lands in my crotch. So much for a leisurely drive to the office.

I always eat and drink(not booze) and drive even though I know better. You are just as likely to get in an accident if you are distracted as if you were drunk.
I hate cell phone drivers ,they almost hit me all the time on the bike.

I drink coffee on the way to work in one of those big thermal muggs(about 4 to 6 cups... ). I've learned over time and from many a burnt lip or other body part...

Now I always throw in a few cubes of Ice to bring the temperature down to just below scalding, so that the spills are a little less painful and tramatizing...

I dumped some boiling hot soup right on my sack the other day and my mom is still laughing about the howling noise I made. I was sitting cross legged on the bed and my house coat was open so there was not even a layer of cloth to protect me.
Still mine does not get a heck of a lot of use anymore anyway either Bramel.

Maybe, we could get Dan to fashion some Male "CUPS" out of SR77?? That should keep the bits from getting burned.

Okay! now I'm laughing......reminds me of the 350 fps blast, I took to mine. I'm still waiting for it to grow back.

As I read these anecdotes about crotch maladies, I find myself crossing my legs tighter and tighter.

Kraz, all this happened in the space of about three seconds. I'm telling you, I nearly turned around and went home where I would have hidden beneath the bed.

I guess it could be worse. At least it wasn’t sharks with frickin’ lasers on their heads.

Ooooo…I got a good one. This one happened to my younger brother several years ago. We have a vanity thing above our toilet that my Mom used to keep our folded towels on before we had cats. My brother got out of the shower and realized that he’d forgotten to get a towel down before he got in the shower. He had trouble reaching, so he stood on the toilet seat so he could grab one. Being dripping wet, that made things a bit slippery. His feet slid out from under him, and the only thing that caught him before he hit the ground was the corner of the wood counter for the bathroom sink by his sack! Ouch! It actually caused a small tear in the skin. That’s about the worst place to be hanging by your body weight for a split second on a sharp wooden corner. He was ok though, no permanent damage.

okay, here's mine, but it didn't happen to me. when my dad was in the navy, he lived with my mom in italy. I guess one day he was ironing in his birthday suit, and being 6'3", the top of the ironing board was just below waist height. I don't think I really need to explain any more.
