congrats, guys!
next year we need to have a no cute children or puppies rule, or else I'm gonna have to go "borrow" a baby from the mall long enough to take pictures.

It is no secret that I am kind of fond of this place & after all the support people have given me I would like to give something back!

So here it is! After consulting with the Big Dog himself, I present to you the Second (Thanks Jason!) Annual Scrap Yard Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Your challenge: Create a work of art on your pumpkin and post it here. Once the contest closes, we will hold a poll and to the most popular pumpkin wins!

The contest will run until the end of Monday the 29th of October. The winner will be announced on Halloween night!

Remember, you are trying to impress your fellow dogs, so I suspect pumpkins with a Scrap Yard theme will certainly give you an edge (Edge, get it? Thank you, I'm here all week! )!

The rules are simple: the pumpkin must be carved this year and it must be your work!

Now for the prize, it wouldn't be a Scrap Yard contest without SR-77! I will put up a shiny new Dumpster Mutt LE for the winner!

Enough talk, let the carving begin!

Good luck everyone!

I am not sure if ColdOne is having network trouble or what?

I would like to thank him for coming up with this idea of a Pumpkin Carving Contest.

So here are the results:

We came down to three pumpkins and could not break the tie. So we placed the names of the pumpkin carvers in a hat and drew the winner. J33psrOck wins for his SYKCO Pumpkin with a knife smile. Please send Patti a PM of where we should send the Mutt LE

Due to Patti's sway we are also giving a $25 shop credit to James Bond for his sneaky use of baby model.

Congratulations to each of you Dogs that submitted a Pumpkin and a thanks to the Dogs who supported them

Dan

Being the lead Dog of the Yard and having to go through all the tension, arguing, and stubbornness of the ScrapYard staff in deciding which carved pumpkin won. I have made a decision; all of those Pumpkin carvers that submitted this year, prior to 9:00 central time last night, will receive a $25 dollar shop credit on their next purchase. It only seems right to me since the effort was put forth and we had real Halloween Spirits roaming the Yard.

I show Ksjumpmd, Magnum, Din, Rover and Pitman along with Stansbrew's Charlie Brown pumpkin as those eligible for this award

Congratulations to all the Dogs

Dan

thanks dan! i was devastated by my defeat, this is a great consolation prize. if it was per pumpkin, i'd be sure to double my entries for next year.

I realize I'm in after the contest is over but wanted to post my handiwork. This is the first time I have had good tools to carve a pumpkin and it is my personal best to date.
