I've heard of Spyro Gyra. [censored], I live in a cultural wasteland. Now I like Hank Williams Jr, Merle Haggard, Toby Keith as much as the next yahoo, but sometimes I want something a little smoother and complex. You know you are getting old when you listen to the Weather Channel for the music.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Alison's voice is so pure and beautiful, it is what I imagine an angel would sound like. And yes, they are talented musicians. So are the Dixie Chicks.

Everybody likes Martina McBride. What a powerful voice from such a little redhead.

I listen to a little Jazz from time to time. I seem to go through phases of different types of music, so I haven't listened to much lately. My kids are pretty big in to a lot of the rock groups that were hot when I was a teenager, so I've been enjoying music with them and bringing back a lot of old memories, It's fun being able to jam with the kids... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Dave Grusin, Afro Celt Sound System, The Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Boney James, The Zodiac, Eric Johnson, Checkfield, John Klemmer, Michael Hedges, Ralf Illenberger, John Jarvis, Larry Carlton . . . to name a few. I love Dave Grusin's work, especially the Brazilian flavored tracks he did with Lee Ritenour. For that matter, I think Lee Ritenour's music is top notch.

Bruce, did you know Larry Carlton was once shot in the neck/throat in a street assault. I believe he nearly died.
