Dan, would it be possible to put an extended tang on future Scrap Yard knives? On some occasions, it is required to beat on the handle. Couldn't you glue the handle to the tang and prevent moisture from getting under the handle? We have been discussing this in the yard.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

that would be a nice addition to the knife.

It would give the yard another way to abuse your hard work.....<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I don'tt know it sounded like they had some pretty sound reasons for the hidden tang. I think it would be more likely on a Rat or Busse?

I have a feeling Dan would say that it would conflict with the SYKCO mission of performance to price ratio...

True, but as someone pointed out before, so does the satin-finished LE's. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

No, pitman. I have been known to beat on the pommels of knives.

Didn't somebody wreck a CT handle whacking it and batoning it? I seem to remember seeing pics on the swamp forum.. Eric was very insistent on doing a warranty repair but the knife owner refused saying it was his fault..

I must be honest Vic and say that I have never needed to beat on the pommel of my knives, however if they are to be carried as a Survival knife then they could well be required to perform this task !!!

Mine's a little scuffed, too. I had to beat it out of fatlighter chunk it got stuck in while I was splitting.
