Chris, I don't know that these knives have to come from current inventory. Suppose the yard wanted to send 20 model x's. Could Dan just make up a batch for this order?

Likely not. I'd imagine that when one of the ways Dan keeps prices down are big runs of a product. Twenty or thirty units of a particular knife will likely cost as much as what we pay retail for.

Have a trusted treasurer(there are lots of good choices here)collect all the money and knives and send them directly to the soldiers. I would also suggest people donate useful knives that would work for a soldier but maybe don't appeal to you.
Who knows maybe some poor sniper out on a roof in Iraq in 110 deggree heat might end up with the 800$ Bear Gryls knife?

Don't trust me with the money I'll spend it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I like the donate a knife useful knife program. I've got a few blades around here that just sit and do nothing.
