I was about to go and reprofile my Scrapper 6 LE when I noticed that the tip was slightly bent. Hard to tell, but it's there. I guess it got bent while throwing it? Strange that this would happen to such a tough knife.

Should I try to bend it back, or is there a chance it has a defective heat treat?

I sent you a PM.

Dan

I tried to use my SS4 as a thrower for the mini review I did and that thing could not have a better design for bouncing at you with the light weight and big bouncy handle.

The Tip goes into the target. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Maybe when YOU throw it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If it bounces back and sticks me in the leg, I would say "the leg was the target. . . I never miss." <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

You're the man!

I chopped my hand open with my CG S6 in July. Zero damage to the edge from the tendon and bone! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

OUCH! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

That looks painful and expensive. Glad to hear the knife was ok though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

No permanent damage I hope?

just a big lump scar that is being very resistant to my efforts in mashing and smashing it away, and a bit of lingering stiffness. not 100% but doing fine.

Expensive though. I have yet to begin paying anything, and I have no intention to begin any time soon <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Holy cow! That looks like it sucked! Hope things continue to get better and that the doctors decide that they don't want your money.

Watch out they don't send a repo guy with a dog father for the hand! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I will keep an eye out for that repo man!

I am glad I did not do it with my FBMLE, there would have been digits flying all over. Also a good thing that it was not overly sharp. Don't ask me how I managed to do it, just a moment of stupidity/carelessness that will never happen again.
