most of the sheathmakers mentioned here and on the busse company page are fantastic, it just comes down to shopping around, talking to the guys, that sort of thing. if you can, the best way to go about it is to order a sheath from several different makers. that said, however, I will heartily endorse rainwalker. does a bang-up job and relatively quickly, too.

and i have found that Rainwalker has most of the knives i have so he is able to make the sheath without having to send him my knife.

David Brown’s kydex sheaths hold the knife by squeezing the blade itself. If you’re using a coated blade you’ll get instant kydex wear. Nothing against David, I like his work. But it’s something to think about any time you order kydex. You can ask whoever you order from to make the sheath tension the knife at the top, where the guard enters the sheath. That will minimize wear marks on the blade or coating. Though a kydex sheath that squeezes the blade is probably more secure. There are always tradeoffs.

Rainwalker has made a couple of kydex sheaths for me and did a great job with both!

Hi JohnBee, and welcome to the Yard. the bottom of your 3 pics is my S6 with Kydex from Leatherface (Dave). I Love leather but It seams rather fitting to me to have kydex as it more durable and thease knives are very durrable too. but with the newer LEs I see leather as a good option it just looks good.

I am SURE you will enjoy the knife you just bought. The above pictures are some of the work in Leather and Kydex that I ordered from http://rainwalker15.googlepages.com/index.htmlHe is a long time member here and has more knives than Dan Busse does! You will find his work to exceed your needs or expectations in either medium. I would recommend Rainwalker "Jeff Law" as a highly reputable source for Scrap Yard Knives sheaths. Peace.
Some people just never learn.

Hi JohnBee, there are several good sheath makers here and any of us will be glad to help.
One thing I thought might be good to add about kydex. It makes a great sheath for those who prefer it, including myself on some blades. However, it does have a tendancy to lightly scratch up a shiney blade, especially if any debris gets into the sheath. It's not really a problem with coated blades and it doesn't really matter if the knife will be a user, but if you want to keep that blade nice and pretty, you'll have to be real careful using a kydex sheath with it. I have a kydex for my DMLE but I have to keep it clean and I'm careful sheathing and unsheathing because I'm not quite ready to scratch up that pretty blade just yet...
Just an FYI...

PoP, and Rainwalker, Both those clip sheaths are the cat's pajamas! A nice sheath does spice up a nice knife.
