I think the CR sebenza fills the bill for a heavy duty folder, that you can actually carry. Built like a little tank, maybe a stewart.
Rat trap is pretty gung ho, but no longer made, as you all know.
I have seen some Dark Ops stuff at shows; I liked it, but did not buy.
Actually, that was a day or two previous to me getting my black finished scrapper.

I agree about a Sebbie!! I love mine. They ARE a heavy duty folder, that IS very easy to carry.

Dork Ops is just a rip off of the Extrema Ratio Folders. The whole story is over on bladeforums.

The Extrema Ratio Folders are probably the strongest folders on the market right now..
wow.. that ER is pretty substantial!

Or Scrap yard could dust off the Rat Trap tooling and start making folders with zero development cost.

On the other hand Swamp Rat must have had a pretty good reason for discontinuing it.

Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.

Any thing that has moving parts is more likely to fail than something with no moving parts.

It could be that supporting the Rat Trap was too much work, it could have been too time consuming to build or they took it off the market so the Busse folder won't have to compete with it.

Who knows?

Other buisnesses will sell some items at a loss just to have a complete product line but how often does a Busse company act like another buisness?

Agreed..
for a fixed-blade company to make folders..
it's just.. well.

it's kinda like.. a big diesel dually Truck maker.. trying to make a sub-compact hybrid..

Meh.. somebody else will have a better example..

I have heard rumors of a Busse folder, but is it actulally going to come to fruition?

Dark Ops is a copy of ER but I have read a review and It seems To be just as nice and I can buy A Dark Ops folder for 100 to 200 dollars less. (I sale knives at the swap meet) I was about to buy one when I decided to get a FB instead.

There is nothing on this earth or any other planet that would ever get me to buy a Dark Ops knife, EVER.
