I had a Glock 26. I just couldn't get use to the grip angle. I ended up giving it to my wife, she'll use it for CCW. I settled on a SIG 229.

As I mentioned above, when just holding and handling a Glock, it feels like a retarded gun design to me. Not very ergonomic at all and not very comfortable. But, every time I shoot my Glock, I am very impressed and don't notice the poor feel and ergos when shooting it.
But, somehow the Glock just becomes very natural and instinctive for me when time to point and shoot.
.... - go figure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I honestly can't figure out why it works so well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I have never had the opportunity to shoot a Sig - or owned one. I keep hearing great things about Sig. And I have almost picked up a couple of different Sigs on a few occassion, but haven't yet.
It is on my list to check into one day (.... knives keep holding me up and distracting me!)

There are a few others I haven't toyed with yet that I am interested in..... someday (?????).

I don't like the look or feel of glock. Unlike KG, they don't shoot well for me. The Sig 229 in .40 on the other hand, handles like a dream for me. Shoots exactly where I point. My hands are fairly big, but the 229 fills them just right. Not knocking glock, just adding support for sig.

Personally I like the lack of a manual safety.

For defensive purposes, I don't personally want to have to think of much more than identifying my target and pulling the trigger. I like simplicity.

Sigs have some of the nicest triggers right out of the box. They tend to be very smooth and have a pretty crisp break.

I also have an HK USPc in .45. The trigger on that thing is probably a little worse than a glocks.

looks like you will not be under-lighted, under-knived, or under-gunned.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of the lanyard I made for the Surefire. Made with glowcord and a glowpull. Supposedly the glowpulls will glow all night when sufficiently charged so it should be handy around the campsite.
