I've lit a fire while its raining with my sparklite
I sat under a pine tree getting my butt all wet with my h2o proof parka over my head while making fuzzy sticks, I made them too good and the fire lit up really quick and burned a hole in my parka
it was a mesrable weekend but I learned not to do that again

Mac - throw me a link for making fuzzy sticks if you get a chance! I was "guessing" at it the other day and quit - went for dry grass instead!

Well done Dice! I have a flint and steel set and need to try it out.

Dan - I've only started a handful of fires w/ a flint, but it sure is nice to know that I could and some methods that have worked before - so I'm not out there trying to figure it out for the first time when I really need it!

And... its fun to do. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the link.

So you don't actually light the fuzzy sticks, you just use them as kindling once you get your fluffy stuff started.

Looks like a great method.

Thanks again.
