My new Muttly's arrived and I am stoked. I don't know why the best Scrappers like the Hooker and the Muttly's get so little respect while ones that are no where near as good like the first Mutt are so popular. This new Muttly is a perfect sized military or survival knife and I love the finish and full height flat grind.
It even has a decent edge. The one caveat is it would not be perfect for larger hands. I have small hands so I love it. I will post some photos after supper.

Great work Dan ,I was not happy when I first heard about the Muttly. I thought why another LE after the YKLE especially one so similar? I was wrong. The extra inch makes it a much better proportioned although now I really want a S6le to have the set.

I am going to get Eric to do my sheaths but I may have Rainwalker do a really nice leather one for my Muttly.

I am glad you like it. I really like mine, both CG and LE. They are perfect for carrying, and still being a decent sized blade.
The only thing that would make them better would be if they were tan.
Or sage.

I have ginormous hands, and the grip is a little small, but not too too small. love it, and it's so light that carrying one in addition to everything else isn't a big deal. at least in the warped little space known as my mind it's just as good as a skelly for backup.

I like the LE better than the original DM as well. The DMLE is a great knife.

I think it would have done bettewr called the S5LE.

I like my DMLE much better than the original. I like the thinner stock (.25" vs .285") and flat grind. I also like my Urban Mutt better than the original and hope more of those are coming. Congrats on some great knives, Unsub. The DMLE is my favorite 5" knife, and that's saying a lot, because I really like my Ratmandus.

I would like to officially start calling the DMLE the Muttly. It is clever and is an actual word ,it is quick to type and suits the knife. MuttLE or Muttly.

I also got my shortsleeve Scrapyard shirt today which is very cool. It looks even better with my red longsleeve underneath as the colours match really well.

The LE is lighter and has beautiful proportions. Here are my Mutt kin. Top to bottom: Ratmandu, DM "Competition Grade", Urban Mutt, and DMLE.

Thanks for the great Pic HD. I did not realize how similar the RMD and the Muttly were until now. I even like the grind and handle better on the Muttly.

I want to like the LE more, but I don't. I have been using the DMCG at work all week, to open up our Christmas stock.
I agree with Horndog, these are my two all-time favorite 5" bladed babies.
