My Dogfather got a workout. It cleared shooting lanes, and I used it to remove 2 3 inch diameter hardwood tress that were blocking my view.

Those are some beautiful photos. It looks a lot like where I live but 2 months ago
now we have waist deep snow. Now with everyone starting to realize how much better wild and naturally fed meat is venison is more than a cheap replacement for beef.
I have a few good photos from a friend in southern sask who does a lot of hunting ,bowhunting and has several good trail cams but they all seem to end with a skinned carcass hanging in a garage and I was worried it might be a bit much for some people(not the regulars but this is a public forum).

More rifle info please. also what did you use for skinning? The only Scrapper I would use for skinning is the SS4. I am looking forward to the first time I get to use mine especially with the thin zero edge and polish. The SwampRat Swamp Warden looks like it would make a good hunting knife as well.

I agree with you on a good turkey substitute but stuffing a critter that size takes some real time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Shouldn't be a problem to show food being processed. People need to be reminded sometimes that meat doesn’t come from shrink wrapped white Styrofoam packages, but that something had to die so they might live. Instead of seeing the eyes of an animal as it dies that they kill and clean themselves, now most people outsource their killing to slaughterhouses and butchers who do the dirty work for them. Sometimes people need to see the process involved to better respect and value the cost of their meals.

Holy Crap that looks cold. I got off work early yesterday and went hunting out in the woods behing my house. I dresses in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I didn't come across any deer, plenty of tracks, but no deer. However, there are plenty of duck in the creek. I'm just waiting for first light, the shotty is ready to go.

Good looking Doe!

50 percent of those people with the look of discust were hunters that missed or didn't get out at all. The other 50 percent order their steaks rare or have sushi on regular basis...go figure. Thank God for a free country.

Have a great Turkey Day

Dan
