I also like the wide spine for grip ,it would also make for easier batoning. I got mine to 20 degrees which is about as sharp as the blades thickness and flat grind will allow for. This is making me look forward to the DFLE. It should be able to get just as or even sharper because it has a wider edge. I am definitly going to sharpen one of my pair of DFLE's like this for my budget comp bowie. "if you want to be a hero you have to learn to drive stick"! Sara Conner
