my uncle used to tell me stories about it, being around then (not in service) and he said it was a similar feeling as 9/11 only you know who to blame, which sort of made it easier.

things were ALOT different then, but it is intresting to see how they reacted to Pearl Harbor, and how we reacted to 9/11 similar in many ways, never expecting it, not thinking it was possible, all the warnings.

It's my oldest sons b-day today. He is 8. He has known what Pearl Harbor was since he was 4. I have shown him the pictures I took of the memorial when I was at Pearl Harbor. My emotions ran high seeing oil still spilling out of the ships (this was in the mid to late 80's).
