Actually you can have Handguns but you can't take them anywhere and certain ones are banned almost at random. IE anything 32calibre banned as well as compact handguns.

The R1 is pretty hot but it seems like the 600's get the cool toys first.
The new R1 has the ride by wire throttle that the R6 had last year.
Any of the 1000's like th R1 or CBR 1000 change yearly so they are very up to date. The new 1000's are like a moto GP (motorbike F1)bike of 5 or 6 years ago.
Personally I am happy with the 110 HP my bike makes but 170HP would be fun but I don't think I could actually go any faster except on a track. Often my 919 is faster around town than even the new 600's because I can see better.

There will be a new Hayabusa next year and the GSXR1400 this year are like big incredibly fast autobaun cruisers. Much better for commuting than the 1000's.

The R1 always felt too small for me. I'm like 6'2... The Honda's and Suzuki's just fit me better.

I'm going to say that the 'Busa is the king as well.

You might like the new GSXR1400, 170HP bussa killer or my 919 diceman.
The new 1000's are tiny.

Brother, I've wanted a 919 for years now - I just don't have the funds at the moment! I really liked my 900RR performance wise, and the 919 w/ the underseat exhaust, and naked is just great looking. When I'm done with school and back in the job market I'll pick one up!

I ride an Aprilia Tuono, sometimes called the Italian Honda. 1000cc "naked" V-twin, Brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension, yada, yada, yada. It goes like stink both straightahead and more importantly, in the twisties. Has a nice upright riding position too.

This a marketing picture of my bike cuz it's always dirty, LOL.

Thanks guys. I love my 'priller. The bikes aren't very finicky (like some, other Italian bikes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />) and have great components. Plus they have an awesome, truly world wide user community: <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Aprila's rule! ,the Tuono is one of my favorite bikes of all time. The parts are so nice ,the best of everything. They really are pieces of artwork.
I would have sex with Kristie Alley (shudder) for the ohlins forks and shocks off a Tuono. My 919 is the jap version of the Tuono and you can really see the personality of the respective country's in the differences between the 2 bikes.
My 919 makes 110 HP(100 at the rear wheel)is an across the frame 4 cylinder with fuel injection. The engine was originally in the world changing CBR900RR made 130HP and was carberated. The engine was altered slightly to make more tourque(65ftpnds)
down lower in the rev range. It sounds like a serious comedown in power but it is a big improvment off the line. The engine unlike most sportbikes can be modded to make more power. The ultimate version of the same mill was in the 02 CBR954RR and made a 150HP.

The parts like exhaust ,brakes, shock and fork are very plain jane but work incredibly well. The forks are nonadjustable, and old style ,the brakes are exellent but are not radial. The exhaust is the exception it is a trick dual underseat version. Expensive aftermarket exausts are lighter but make no more power. The forks and shocks are what I really covet off the Tuono they are the first and probably only major mod I plan to make.

The Aprilla is the same bike ie naked sportsbike based on an older model of the top end repliracer but the Tuono has the best of everything. Radial brakes
upsidedown forks with a million different adjustments, wheels that are so nice I woukld hang them on my wall. Every little piece on the Tueno is the best.
Parts I plan to buy for my bike like aluminium bars ,steel braided brake lines and adjustable cnc'd rearsets are already on the Tuono.

The Tuono is a Busse with infi everything and my 919 is scrapyard with 98% the performance but half the price.

I have a poster of the Aprilla SXV 4.5 V twin supermoto bike on my wall.
It would be the bike I would buy if I lived in a big city.

Looking at that rear tire Unsub, I'd say that 919 has seen some love in the twisty parts of the frozen north where you live <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Oddly enough, I almost bought an F4i instead of the Tuono. Honda engineering is always about what works and I like that too. But I went and sat on the Tuono and my wallet leaped from my pants and that was that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I really, really want to see the new Aprilia Supermotos up close and personal. Just haven't had a chance to breakaway to the dealer. The SXV looks like the ultimate "take me straight to jail" bike.

Saw a brand new 1098 Ducati yesterday...sounded fantastic but looks a little too R1ish to me.
