Where did you fly to and from?

Studying for the LSAT!

My mother in law will be coming in a few weeks, as well.

Mostly family stuff though - we went sledding today - it was a blast!

short of a book-length version, what (if any) is your go-to filter? since i spend most of my year trying to fool various trout with various barbless flies, i value polarization (not circular) above all else... but then again, i don't take pictures for a living.

Its a BEAST though... we'll see how it goes - I take it Feb 1 or 2...

A polarizing filter is definitely my first choice for shooting nature photography with a digital camera. It has to be circular, or else autofocus won't work right.

By the way, when doing landscape work, I sometimes wear the glasses you get for 3D movies, where one lens is polarized in one orientation, and the other is polarized the other way, in order to see my options.

i agree with mike. i don't know you all that well, but i do have (much to my discredit) lots of close friends that took the LSAT, went to law school, and are successful practitioners. what i do know of/about you, leads me to think you'll kill the test.
