Cool man. Even it's it's 20 degrees off which it's probably not, you are still at 0 degrees. That rules. She will love it.

I'm expecting at least 20 degrees off! but like you said it should be fine. when we camped last summer mine did not do the trick for her, she was cold. so with that and a pad and maybe a liner (why are most silk?) she should be good.

I am comaring different finishes here. I still wish I could achieve a finish like the one on my DFLE.

wow the TAK does look good! nice job. (now Dice is gonna wanna do that!)

They leave a very nice finish on the blade. The RD7 was a different story.

except for the pommel, I really like our "Old Style" RD7's!

I don't know what the deal was w/ my RD7 - it was BEAUTIFUL underneath. Yours, and my brother's RD9, are definitely NOT beautiful!

My finish flaked off like crazy too - probably because it was sooooo smooth under there. Maybe thats why Justin went rougher on most of them??

I like everything about the new RD's, I think - having never had an old one...
