Yeah!

Andy's got pretty good cameraman skills..

we can pick a handful of burly testers from the Weightlifting thread..

Now.. we just need someone to donate a Jeep, so we can roll it upside-down

ScrapYard rules the Performance/Price ratio

You have to admit I am consistent

Dan
Dan,

You are consistent, all right. And you are obviously one of the foremost authorities on all things Busse. So if you don't mind, let me pose the question to you.

If Featherstone had been equipped with a Scrapper 6 instead of a Camp Tramp on the day of his accident, is there any question in your mind that he would have made it out of that wrecked Jeep alive?

Bruce...

If we are talking about comparing a Scrapper 6 against the Camp Tramp, Thats tough, the tramp would most likely have a small advantage for legnth/leverage. HOWEVER, when I am chopping the brains out of the Jeep I will get that warm fussy feeling of knowing that I'm doing for a lot less money which will equal a whole lot more comfort as I save my life.

If anyone chops up a Jeep to establish the ScrapYard as the champion, please take pictures, post them here and send me whats left of the jeep for scrap to melt down into ScrapYard paper weights

Dan

Compared to the M6, I personally strongly prefer the Scrapper 6.
I like micarta, but the M6 has a full tang and feels excessively handle heavy to me.

The Scrapper 6 is a very stout and heavy duty knife, but the M6 just feels too heavy for a knife of it's size.

I also prefer the feel of the Scrapper 6 handle over the M6. Again, I like micarta and Res-C. If the handle fits, I can be happy with both micarta and Res-C. But, I feel the shape of the handle is better on the Scrapper 6 than the M6.

Interesting comment, when my S6LE arrived my wife commented that I had bought a kitchen knive. Which brings me to your comparison, I don't own an M6 but I obviously checked the S6 against my Weiler. Huge weight diference, the S6 is a very light and unassuming knive. The ResC handle is a dream, very comfortable and the blade is one fat piece of metal. Being a spring steel I'm sure it can handle lots of abuse.

When I get my sheath I will take it out hiking because it is a fairly big knive but lightweight. Micarta looks great and can be adapted better than ResC but the weight difference is there. I mean, check out the HRLM, love the knive, but it is heavier than the Howling Fat which surprised me.

The only thing that annoys me with ResC is the unusable lanyard hole, can't the Yard change the design so that the hole is not under the grip.

bodhi_,
>1/4"+ kitchen knife!! wow your kitchen must have some BIG knives!!

HRLM is heavier than Howling Fat? wow i didn't know that! (don't have a Fat). The HRLM *does* feel pretty hefty in hand.. iirc someone weighed it in @ 9 oz.

Great impressions on the S6.. i'm jealous.. i gotta Get me one of those!
