Agreed!
I Love my magnetic driver & bits!

makes quick changes easy, minimizes toolbox clutter, Holds screws so they don't fall!

Dunno why more multi-tool makers don't jump on the magnetic bit bandwagon!

not only that.. but the bits allow me to make Custom bits.. without ruining entire screwdrivers.

ie my son likes to take apart toys with that Triangle bit.. then there's Tamper-proof triangle. For gunsmithing there's the 2-prong ones ie like on SKS stocks.

I'd Really like a multi-tool that would take Bits!

I would recomend the Victorinox Swisstool Spirit. I have one and It's awesome. I also have LM Surge. But it's a bit too heavy to carry on my belt. And it has a few design flaws.

THE VICTORINOX SWISS TOOL HAS THE BEST BIT DRIVER I HAVE USED. THE SWISS SPIRIT'S BIT DRIVER RATCHETS. THAT IS AWESOME. I like that it can be used horizontally and vertically.

I BOUGHT A BIT KIT FOR MY WAVE, IT NOW HAS 40 DIFFERENT BITS. the adapter for leatherman can be used i a horizontal, diagonal, and vertical position.

GERBER AND BEAR MGC HAVE NICE BIT KITS ALSO.

THE SOG POWERLOCK HAS A QUARTER INCH DRIVER FOR USE WITH A SOCKET SET BUT I HAVE NEVER FOUND IT TO BE VERY USEFULL.

My favorite titanium knives are Mission Knife & Tool knives! I had an all titanium knife, and I ended up trading it.

So multitools... I've a got a Kershaw locking plier one (rubbish give it a miss). Leatherman Wave from about 4 years ago, that's not too bad but the saws are a 'factory replace' when they go dull and I wonder how strong the pliers cutting surfaces are so I have some doubts (also the handles kind of flex under pressure cutting, I think there is a newer model out which may be better). I have a Leatherman PST mark 1 somewhere but that is kind of bust up a bit, so give them a miss! Next up is my Gerber Evo 650 with removable carbide cutting surfaces on the pliers and clip in saw blades; superb piece of kit! IF the pliers break just unclip them and chuck them away then fit a spare set.. If the cutters go dull just rotate them to a sharp bit! Never had any trouble with it. I've also got a Gerber Legend, similar to the Evo 650 but aluminium not steel handles and no can opener, still very good though. Swiss Champs are good over here as the Police don't mind them..

To sum up; get a Gerber Evo 650 with the (optional) needle-nose carbide cutter pliers! Also keep a S6 or DF handy for big jobs! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

The most used tools on my Leatherman are: flathead screwdriver, philips drivers, pliers, and can opener (for coffee cans).

yup...pretty much how it goes with those and i hate having extra tools on a sak or multitool. for this reason my fav multitools are the leatherman Crunch (the vice-grip model) the leatherman kick (the minimalist model) and this winchester special i only see at walmart that costs $13 modeled on the gerber suspension without the locks, lanyard, scissors or any other junk i don't like to see on a multitool. it's also got a good bit set, spring loaded handles, and a pretty comfortable grip. i gave one as a gift but i want one myself. if you're gonna do real work, though, no multitool beats a loaded toolbox. for that matter, a pair of $3 chinese pliers and a 10-in-1 screwdriver are enough to beat most multitools. sak's rule, screw what the rags say!

Hmm.. i'll have to be on the lookout for that Winchester special next time i'm in Walmart, is there a model # or name?

Agreed.. favorite tool on my workbench is a simple Stanley multi-bit driver with bit storage in the handle. I use it ALL the time!

mine's klein tools 10 in 1 with the bits on the flipping shafts. made in the usa, used it for years, and still like new. i'll have to check on that model number but it was nearly identical to the winchester winframe, just better looking.

couldn't find a pic but i did find this interesting mini-thing:
