Actually, I think there can be a lot that's interesting about automobiles, in the popular mechanics kind of way.
But, like... when a friend asks me whether I want to see her new car: no, not really.

certain cars, in my eyes, are more art than machine. case in point, the above lotus elise.
there are plenty of dream machines that are handmade. you can look under the hood of your corvette and see the name of the man or woman who put its engine together. alone.

I'm just not seeing the art in that Lotus Elise car. I'm glad you are seeing it, but I'm not.
I am open to the idea that cars can be artful, and I will try to be receptive to examples.
