yes, it was. i turned the stock striker on its end and scraped downward. the toothy edges on the side scrape reduce contact area, meaning less sparks. fewer candles to boil the water, as you put it.
sorry, i fell asleep. hope today treats you better.

Oh goody! Another two or three inches of snow...on top of the ten or twelve we got yesterday.
I wonder if my body will still have food in it's stomach when the archeologists find me in the ice ten thousand years from now.

I tried to get this one kid that has alot of money to get into SYKCo blades. He has bought 13 or so knock off katanas from this snake oil salesman at our local mall. He puts about $300 into each one of these things and they are the same stuff they sell a cheaper than dirt.com for $100. The guy has told him that they are made by some master craftsman in japan. He is the same guy that said if you drop one on the roof of a house it would go through and stick in the foundation. He is crazy about the military so of course his main field blade is a $9 Frost cutlery delta commando knife.
end rant Oooo…wager opportunity to fund your next knife… Bet him that you can chop his sword in half with a DF. Show him some of the hard-use vids on YouTube that myself and others have made, and tell him to try it with his. Have him try to drop his sword on the roof, and bet him that it won’t go through. Tell him put his money where his mouth is…KNIFE CHALLENGE!
