i stuff dryer lint into old egg cartons and once a pocket is filled up, i melt an old candle over it until it sealed in. the wax helps to keep things going (think candle) and the egg crate burns really well too. it's a really lightweight, long burning tender <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I have now found the deals and can put together a better than most kit for around $200-300 excluding knife costs.

tis all good... we can have our own acronyms. now that i get what was being talked about, a grand doesn't seem too off the mark. i mean, a lite weight portable cooler filled with beer and hotlinks that can handle the rigors of a day hike doesn't come cheap, ya know?
