I'd hate to even guess how much something like that would cost. What steel is it? looks like a tapered tang maybe, and sweet pins gorgeous! It sold for around $1800 or so. I would have paid more, but I missed out. If I got it I'd probably never buy another blade again. Well, that's what I'd tell myself when I was sending the money.

For swizzle, mag22, and anyone else who was around back on page 362, CountyComm fixed my botched order. I sent them one email and the missing items showed up a mere 5 days later. Any concern I had about them based on my first order has been vanquished.

Sounds like girl trouble. Accounting trouble wouldn't be worth the lead and copper at today's prices!

Back from the first metal detector outing. Need more studying and practice, but that's like anything else I suppose.
I did manage to find a pop can pull tab. I’ve used a metal detector for over 20 years now. Don’t turn up the discrimination too much to loose the pull tab signal. Sometimes a ring will show as a pull tab. Usually you can tell something good by the sound. Trash has a weak, skippy sound, and something good has a strong solid tone. We’ve found some neat things detecting. I’ve found several rings, the coolest a gold class ring from the 30’s I think it is. Dad found an Indian head penny, we’ve found some silver coins too. All kinds of neat stuff… What areas have you searched?

hmm. you have me stumped. the only thing i can figure from recent posts is that either you need to end your life before your flashlight phase takes over your body like "The Thing", or that you're so envious of ted's ability to contemplate a ~$2k blade that you need to end it now, or that you did a leg workout today and hit it so hard that you'd rather be dead.
when I get back from dinner, hopefully all will be revealed.

mtrspeed, that's pretty scary.
the real reason is that i'm finishing my MBA in 14 months, including the time i had off for the internship. it's brutal. tomorrow's exam isn't really that bad, but i'm pretty shook about the next three.

Dang Andy, you must have started as a wee squab. The only place we went was a local boat launch/beach. I didn't really have high hopes for it, it was just a place for a first outing. I think my best hope in this part of the country is gold prospecting or coin shooting in some of the places likely to turn up OLD coins. Even the busiest of beaches here would have light traffic compared to the real sand meccas. There's a dude at work I might team up with that knows some likely spots. That's undoubtedly more than half the battle.
Dirty, wet, and unprotected. \m/
