Sweet ColdOne! I don't have a coin, but I wonder if you can top the SYK coin...? We have the same tradition with our regiment and tour coins in the CF.

I have three tour coins, and one regiment coin right now. Does a four against one win? LOL! BTW, here's my regiment coin.

Last person who challenged me was bragging to his buddies for a while that he was gonna do it. Sure enough, he taps me on the shoulder while we're in the shower, and shoves his coin in my face, laughing. I calmly reached down to my upper thigh, ripped off the piece off duct tape there, and presented my coin back. He was some ticked that he had to buy me drinks that night! In the regiment I'm in now, if you win, that loser has to buy you drinks until you say enough! Funny, not too many people challenge me anymore! LOL! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

Well, ya know, you gotta have some laughs to get through the day, know what I mean?

I've just been really fortunate in the number of pleasant laughs I've had in the past eight years.

The challenge coins are still available in the Scrapyard store under Schwag.
http://shop.scrapyardknives.com/product.sc?categoryId=1&productId=30

They are random numbers and only the first 42 or 44 were given to the JYD's for their JYD #. I actually have two. I also have one from Ranger knives.

You know its amazing what our soldiers carry into Iraq.
We sit behind our computers debating on what would be the best knife for a soldier, most of us never having been there ourselves.

I was just gifted today 3 knives carried by a soldier KIA in iraq by his friend and my moms coworker who is retired army.
This lady knows I plan on enlisting after high school and knows I like knives.
All 3 of these knives have obviously been there, scratched, dirty, and damaged.
The first knife is a partially serrated gerber gator, the serrations are badly damaged and were obviously used to cut something hard.
The second knife is a smith & wesson boot knife, the tip is dulled and the coating near it is worn and scratched I assume this is from prying open crates.
The third knife is a plain edge S&W swat, this looks like it has been used the most of them all the coating is almost all worn off and it has dust and rust on it.

I will obviously be writing a thank you note; what do I say, what do I do, what do I write?
