I should start looking more at that kind of thing. I'm really ungrounded. The only place that I might consider home is still hours from here and there's really not any unpopulated land unless you buy a farm or some swampland.

i've been workin on this thing a while and it's still not very sharp, especially for a scani.

I'm so tempted to cut the talon hole out of my BAD. I can't decide if I want to butcher it myself or see if I can get somebody else to do it

course and medium diamond plates, 600 grit sandpaper, and a leather belt.

the angle is substantially wider than that of a mora. this edge is almost polished but without a reprofile it's not getting any sharper.

it's sharp enough to work and work well, but the knife snob in me wants to spit.

what's the coarsest grit you'd use to remove massive ammounts of metal by hand?

the coarsest grit i could find. I've got 40 grit belts that i use for applying bevels to my home made knives, which is the longest part of the knife making process.
