It's interesting how they added the police officer's deaths as a footnote at the very end of the story. That story wasn't very sympathetic toward the cops, was it?

Yep; I may end up having to check in, do the User Search, sort by Total Posts Descending, then look at the third page and wait for someone to take #59 before I post anymore. I'm not there yet. Reconseed has started posting again, and he could take it any day he wants to, so I may not reach that point. I also check to make sure that no more than one of the newer dogs who posts who posts frequently jumps in front of me -- it's all just a game right now, trying to manipulate the end result to pick my number.

I've been staying late to work on a program I'm writing, but had to attend an all staff meeting for 2-hours this morning that meant nothing to me except for free muffins. We just got done; now I need to get back to work. I'll check back during lunch time.
Congrats on the Stealth Hawk -- did you do the 'ganza?

no ganzaa for me. I got transferred but I'm still on nights. At least I have weekends off now. I think the only thing I might have gone for was the moss Hell Razor. But I already have a sage G10 mag. I'm going for more specific things lately

I got another SS4 today so I'm going to give one to my dad and probaby strip and convex the other. It might have taken about 8 days of work but I found 2 so they are still out there if people look hard enough.

On 9mm vs. .45, I can't honestly say I have given the .45acp enough time to really give it a fair shake.
One thing that can be nice about 9mm though is the 19round mags in some very handy sized grips that fit me better than a single stack 1911. If one is really concerned about stopping power you can get some, uh, nicely un-decaffeinated rounds like Buffalo Bore 124gr speer gold dots at 1304 fps our of a 92F. I believe this pretty nicely replicates the vaunted .357 Mag round (let me know if I am wrong). I have not tried this myself, yet, but the guys at gunblast recommend them. Not sure I would wont to try this round in a Kahr pm9 or Kel-tec pf9 etc.

I've shot the hot stuff in a PM9 and it is pretty rough. at least 4 times as hard to control as a Glock 33. The same stuff in a 17 or 17L is pretty mild though so I'm sure it wouldn't be bad in a 92f if you trust the chamber to hold. I don't doubt it would, I just don't know one way or the other. I'll take my glocks anyday. Even the hot 10mm is easy to control

Hey dogs. Don't know if I posted this since I havent been on in awhile but I bought my own turn bolt. Its a vintage Remmy 700 in .270 WIN, it had almost no use on it and sat in some old guys safe for who knows how long. I bought it without optics(had iron sights) for $550 then dropped $450 on the optics and rings and such. The workmanship on it is much better then the younger 700's I have seen in stores. I have only shot it at the range to get it zeroed but it shoots just under 1 MOA best I can tell with the federal ammo I use, thats good enough for me. I will be getting down to southern Ohio to do some shooting at longer ranges of about 300 yards as soon as I can. Still getting to know this rifle.

ah...the Remington 700. It is another firearm that I think every American should have <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Bolt action guns are probably the most accurate type of guns out there. Simple, right to the point type of guns!
