^ you get it from Yhangdu? i'm sure if you contacted HI or Yhangdu and explained about the heat treat they would take care of you.
Oh yeah, there was no problem with the customer service. The mistake was mine in taking another model using the returned one as credit towards it.

First impressions are good. Seems like a nice blade for the money. I did find that the fit and finish isn't as good as my Busse's. Specifically at one corner where the handles aren't quite lined up with the tang. Not sure on the steel in this one and it arrived with minor staining on the edge and a few small spots on the blade. A better application of oil for shipment would have probably prevented it. Overall it is all minor though, I am just picky. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Blade feels great in the hand and chops well, already attacked a log with it.
