I think some hands on stuff can't hurt. Why not teach first aid as part of the curriculum? As well as all the things that will be needed once out on their own such as management of personal finances, etc.

well first factor is cost of living....hawaii has a HIGH cost of living. so what teachers makes as compared to our COL is way to low, for their responsibility of TEACHING our children..


i know when i was at CC our teachers had a strike. made us loose 2 weeks of school, they got the raise. i had to get into a HEATED argument with my Programming prof to get an A.

really i have nothing positive to say about much of these matters. we as a society are about to meet the apex of the rich and the poor. we are near the cusp of societies patience.

We should make exercise a mandatory thing throughout all the years of schooling.
Real exercises, not the simple stretches and jogs but full workout routines.

True that MC, when our teachers went on strike we somehow got strippers as scabs. Our school's name was "Hoover" high so the media jumped at the opportunity to call us "Hooter" high. It wasn't so bad...for us I mean.

Sure, I think that would work MC. So long as the student has what is best suited for them. Exercise is needed for all, otherwise bad practices are formed and a dependence on medication will grow.

bottom line is people like us who work dont have time to go to neighborhood meetings and go downtown to speak on issues. when we dont speak our mind, we let the people who dont have jobs all week and collect some sort of check are the ones who have time all day to speak their mind and go downtown and make speeches.


also this may stir people up, but we need a revised constitution. i havent worked out any particulars but govt is wasting our money and time on arguing what men a hundred years ago tried to mean on todays term....did washington think there would ever be an internet....times change.

art honestly the Wii, although its a "toy" the Wii Fit is great. its takes a quick snapshot of your physical caliber and trains you accordingly. if we could have that sort of program for PE itd be great. not just some washed up has been with a anger agenda (our PE teacher was like that)
