What's up fellas! For the last few days, I've been working a lot more on my knives and they are coming along nicely. If I could go back, I would've made some changes but you can't put back on steel once it's off.

Looks like it has a little recoil and blast to it. It also looked like your girlfriend was startled by the first shot too

Yes sir, the .22lr makes for a fine rabbit gun. You know what, remember in the movie Shooter it makes a fine pop bottle 200 meter gun too.

I love the 34-1 Smitty. I hope to find one at a reasonable price this spring but I fear like everything else reasonable is no longer a valued word.

speaking of .45 and 1911... what do you guys think of para-ordinace?? Para is ok in my book but they do not share enough common parts with the original 1911 for me, mags are expensive and non-existent in my area, and if I want a wide framed 1911 the Smitty or Glock 21 fits the bill.

Side by side? ![[Linked Image from i34.tinypic.com]](http://i34.tinypic.com/jtum3n.jpg) Not mine, but I have had my eye on it... I like that. Now let me get this straight, you can't own a Smitty 34 with a 4" brl but you can own a SBS?

Depends on what you want to spend. Cheap fun plinker? 10/22 Fun plinker with real potential for accuracy? CZ 452 or 453 Another vote for the CZ rifles. I have a CZ 452 American with the lite brl and it is more accurate than some target rifles. If you are looking at the CZ's look at the 453 as it has the set triggers on them now. Back when I bought mine the option was not available so I installed a Brooks trigger mod and love it.

see ya guys.. hump day...
i considered buying a ar15 pistol and the 22 conversion kit. if the size and price is not the issue you might want to get a 223 that can be setup to shoot 22 rounds. plinking fun with the option to get hot.
may want to research the quality but i've seen glock, sig, ar15, and mini 14 22 kits. all of these convert back to a higher caliber. i don't know how good they are but it might be worth a look. The conversion kits are nice. Not too long ago all that was available was the Ceiner kits and his customer service was horrid. Not too long ago Spikes Tactical and CMMG took the Ceiner design and tweaked it into a great operating piece of machinery. A friend went with the dedicated Spikes .22lr upper but it was costly--and fun. That got me to thinking, I love the old style AR rifles and they have a 1-12 twist brl so I picked up a CMMG kit with a 27 rd Black Dog mag. All I have to say is my CMMG kit is a blast to shoot and accurate. One thing to remember about the conversion kits is that the slower the twist rate, the more accurate the rifle will be. TO the handgun conversion kits, only experience I have is shooting the Advantage Arms Glock conversion and it was a blast too. Not as accurate as a Ruger or Browning in .22lr but an option for traing with your carry piece. I am planning on picking up an Advantage Arms conversion kit for my 1911 real soon; and if I end up with a Glock 19 I will get one for that too. Now knives, I am learning--guns I know.

The SxS sneaks through the requirements to be friendly. For handguns, the barrel needs to be 105mm or longer to be semi-friendly.
