Are the Koster Bushcrafts true scandi grinds? http://www.kosterknives.com/faq.htmThat would lead me to believe they are, but it sure looks awful flat like a true scandi. Maybe he just finishes on a strop? I will call tomorrow but I wondered if anyone might know. no trace of a convexing on my kosters. i have a bushcraft kit and scandi nessmuk.

Since the prevailing winds are from the West, Brunswick gets it all the time, but they are not elites and are in a lower socioeconomic group, so nobody cares, except those poor unfortunates who live there. The mill managers and owners never live in the city they pollute. They are Saint Simons Island elites. But those of us here Blythe Island, the redneck paradise, must on occasion endure the stench to remind us of our expendable status, just one rung higher than the city dwellers.

.. after all I am a lowly chickenplucker. After having been a scholar and an army officer, I spent 25 yrs as a S*it Shoveler (Wasewater Treatment). I prefer being among the so-called working class. I was raised to honor and appreciate all work well done. Social status has never been important to me, but character and honor are. The world needs chicken pluckers, bakers, butchers, welders, carpenters, mechanics, and technicians more than it needs hedge fund managers.

So the best/only way to sharpen a scandi grind would be on a stone or use the platen on the belt sander?
