Back when I was in college I was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa. We took an oath to be life-long scholars. It can be a bit scary at times when long-held beliefs are shattered, but it is part of the process of building a world view. It never ends. The more we learn, the more our perspective changes. At some point, though, one must go beyond mere academic rational learning and move into intuitive and experiential gnosis.
