How is the weather where everyone is at? Rainy and dreary here today. Guess that is ok since we need the rain to quelch the wildfires of late.

Has anyone seen the movie Charlie Wilson's War? It has Tom hanks in it, and is about the US involvement in Afganistan in the 80's? Not too bad of a movie--problem is that it just touches the tip of the iceberg.

would you say that the movie was relatively close to fact or was it a glorified movie of the american way (or some other non true to events movie)?

From what I understand they stayed close to the story, but obviously they glorified it and took some liberty to sell the picture

i was only a wee lad in the 80s never really knew about the BIG picture...i guess ill check it out...not a big fan of julia roberts though.....
