Only thing that I can see that deffeats the purpose is the extended mag and the lanyard. the lases is no big deal, actually helps with the print in pocket--makes it look more like a wallet, and the clip is nice when you are not wearing something with pockets like shorts.

I hope to get another Garand someday. I have had a couple but they were let go when things came up. i just want a good shooter, really don't care what condition as long as it shoots good and is sound.

oh yeah... I like that, especially since it doesn't have the lock on the side. A friend has a 625-3 1989 model with a 3" brl I wish I could get. Right now I have a PC K Frame 66 Comp F with 3" brl and it is a blast (literally with .357 mag) to shoot. I need to find a good IWB holster for it. Sure is nice to be able to legal carry here in OK.

That Airlite in 45 is going to have some recoil. I shot one of the .357 mag ones for a couple rds--I decided I was not going to finish the cylinder out. To me that negated the pistol, why not just get a J frame Airweight for a lot less?
