Clint are you flying or driving? If your driving just toss it in the trunk untill you get to Texas. Once here you can keep it in your car without a license or anything! That means loaded and in your lap if you want.

Right now I just can't decide if I should sell my Glock 19 and add some cash to "upgrade" to a 1911 9mm. I can carry the 19 concealed on my 155 pound 6 foot frame and fear I wouldn't be able to pull that off with the 1911. That is why I traded off my 17 for the 19 in the first place.
In all honestly though none of them get as much actual carry time as my Airweight. However, I HATE to shoot the Airweight.

You know the types that go to concerts looking for a fight right?
Coolest thing I ever saw happen was when Pat Green was playing. He stops in the middle of a song and says to the whole crowd, "hey look at that guy right there" and points him out to everyone "he has the smallest dick in the whole audience". He directed the cops to him and had him escorted out of the concert. The guy was picking fights etc and Pat bothered to stop the show to get him taken care of. Kinda funny, I was glad he did it. That is cool. Never seen that and been to a few concerts too.

Yeah, have to, or it jams.. Tolly said something about it being the magazine that causes it.. But I've never been able to shoot hollows.. Mag could be it, but I am more likely to think the throat and ramp are not set up for hp. HP have a different geometrical shape and have been know to cause problems in GI guns.

hell, here is what I think on a 9mm 1911
9mm 1911 is a pleasure to shoot but you have cut your magazine load by half for a single-stack pistol. I know S&W is coming out with a 9mm in a 1911 this year, so that might warrent a look.
