Mike - yes - getting a Rist and at a great price. Going bare bones. Tele (thin 1 piece body - Ash - belly cut and forearm cut like a Strat) - oil finish - 1 piece maple neck w/ RW board - and Will Boggs (WB) is getting the guitar this weekend and tuning a set of pickups to the guitar!. I'm selling off some pickups and odds and ends to help fund it.

every year os so i'll spend two weeks straight just playing one game...then go back to my real life. reluctantly.

I tried to take some pictures of my DMCG and SOD at the beach and definitely got a lot of looks. This was around 7pm so a lot of the crowd was gone already. Still rushed and didn't get any good shots in. I waves were coming and didn't want to swim around for my knives.

does he make his own fretboards?

shoulda took some pics of those people's faces.

oh, and just so you know, every new thing i take up detracts from my time with the guitars. knives ruined my chops. lifting did it too, eventually. the MBA. the motorcycle to an extent.

the point is i don't think of it as free time or my time. it's the guitar's time.

crazy. friend was askin me about building guitars. he has the wood shaping tools and i know everything else. told him we should just buy necks, or at the very least fret boards.
